Is SRK worth Rs. 300 crores ?

As per the latest reports from Box Office, past two quarters were really disappointing for the industry. Big Budget movies could not create any magic at the box office.They left behind a loss of Rs 450 crores. Financers and Distributors are striving to get back their money. Failure of two big budget movies 'Raavan and Kites ' shredded the dreams of big producers.

Shockingly, Reliance Big Pictures has bought the rights of Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Don2 for a huge amount of 125 crores. The rights are given by Excel Entertainment. This is not all, Eros International has bought other film of Shah Rukh's Ra.one' for 175 crores. 'Ra.one' is his home production. It is Shah Rukh Khan's popularity and huge fan following which is compelling the distributors to pay such a huge amount!

Ranbir and King Khan not to share screen space

One very hot gossip in that best suits with these hot summers yes those ho were looking forward to see Ranbir and Shahrukh together sharing screen space together then there is a very sad news for them actually on the top of the stardom Ranbir has rejected a film with the country’s heartthrob Shahrukh Khan. Yes this is really true, when Karan approached Ranbir to work with SRK he clearly denied.



As Ranbir is moving on to the ladder of success, he possess charming personality and this Kapoor boy has a very good fan following now he is performing outstanding with the movies Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Wake up Sid, well now the eyes on his most expected forthcoming Raajneeti , he has decided to reach the stars really.

Well there is a twist in the story when Karan approached Ranbir he did not seem to be very keen, well this Kapoor boy clearly defines that after doing the movie like Rajneeti, it is not the right time to work and share the silver screen with legendary King Khan who is miles ahead as far as the success is concerned.He is leaps ahead in terms of fame and popularity.

Insecurity could be the other reason for not doing this movies well it has not come out openly because King Khan will grab all the attention of the viewers and there would be nothing left for Ranbir, as he is very careful about his role and selection of movies, at the same time he has full confidence on his talent , right now he is not comfortable to do any flick with SRK, but in near future they will definitely share screen spaces.

Salman gives advice to Hrithik

Hrithik Roshan invited Salman Khan for Suzanne Roshan's birthday bash but Salman Khan gave it a miss to avoid the company of Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan who along with his wife attended the party.




Salman Khan clarified about his absence in the party by saying that he had to walk the ramp in a Fashion Week in New Delhi on the same day. Salman didn't just stop with that and assumed the role of a family advisor to Hrithik Roshan.

Salman asked Hrithik that he was aware of somebody called Hrithik's Kites co-star Barbara Mori to attend the Birthday party. Salman warned Hrithik that if he didn't take care of his family then he would actually stop talking to him.

Shahrukh's gesture

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has often seen receiving awards. Recently Shahrukh Khan made a gesture of giving away an award. This time it was not given to his co-star but to a very special person who works behind the camera.




Bollywood's King Khan not only awarded his make up artiste Ravi Indulkar but also touched his feet. Ravi also worked as make up artiste to ‘Dream Girl’ Hema Malini previously. Shahrukh Khan said, "Ravi mama did his best to make me as graceful as Hema Malini, but I know it is difficult."

Shahrukh promoters have underworld links

Bollywood's King Khan Shahrukh Khan was detained for two hours at the Newark Airport in the US last months, lots of stories were made behind the detention. One of the theory was the link between the promoters of the event and the underworld.




It was speculated that Shahrukh Khan must have been detained for questioning because of criminal links of the event's promoters. However, Farhath Hussain, promoter of the South Asian Carnival, revealed that he and his brother would have been detained first if that was the case.

Farhath Hussain also said that he has been doing business in the US for 25 years. The fact is that he himself received extortion threats from Mumbai based gangster Abu Salem in the past. Brand ambassador for Nokia mobile phones SRK will be soon seen in his upcoming flick My Name Is Khan opposite Kajol.

Salman is not buying IPL team

IPL commissioner Lalit Modi is trying to gain publicity for the league through Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Modi spread the rumours that Salman was interested in buying an IPL team but the actor denied it.




Media made sure to cover this news in every corner by adding some more spice to it. Modi told the media after meeting Salman at a Mumbai hotel that the actor was interested in buying an IPL team and that he had explained to him how to go about. He added that he had received around 28 queries.

Sohail Khan said that Salman is not buying any IPL team and Salman Khan stated this report as utter rumour and nothing else. It may be mentioned that IPL is connected to Bollywood in one way or the other be it celebrities owning the teams or adding glamour as becoming ambassadors.

Actors like Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty and Juhi Chawla own IPL teams. Salman Khan's next releases are Wanted, Main Aur Mrs Khanna, Veer, to name a few...

SRK and Salman are no longer enemies

Bollywood's superstar Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan are no longer enemies. The two Khans are said to be bitter enemies and have got into brawl a few times but Shahrukh has surprised many by referring to Salman as his buddy.




Shahrukh said that he did Deewana, a film that Armaan Kohli turned down, did Baazigar that his friend Salman had refused, acted in Darr that Aamir Khan turned it down and did Dil Aashna Hai after Saif Ali Khan rejected it.

It maybe recalled that Shahrukh and Salman had a public fight on Katrina Kaif's birthday last year. So much has been written about them since the incident happened but they have chosen to keep their silence. It looks like the Khans are now ready to forgive and forget the past!

Shahrukh to play a father of a teenager

Bollywood's King Khan, Shahrukh Khan is all set to play the role of a father and believe it or not he will play it in two movies My Name Is Khan and Anubhav Sinha's Ra 1.




Although most actors feel shy from playing such roles Shahrukh had qualms about playing a father on screen. Most stars are apprehensive of loosing their charm once they play an aged character on screen but our Shahrukh is not that kind of a star.

Shahrukh who plays Rizwan Khan in My Name Is Khan will be the father of a teenager in the movie. The superstar said these things should not bother an actor. SRK argues that at 30 if he could play a college student Kuch Kuch Hota Hai at 43 he can definitely play a father with his own son Aryan being 11 years old.
